My daughter and I finished our first whole year homeschooling and my son graduated from nursery school. They both had their birthdays, and are now five and eight... The garden is doing really well this season, and has kept me busy picking raspberries, lots of lettuce and beans, and the first cucumbers and tomatoes. Not bad for Maine! We've fit in fun at the ocean, and boating and fishing, and swimming at the town beach or at our access most days. A great summer so far!
I've still been keeping up with birth, just not writing about it. Some things are frustrating and troubling... and some are funny and sad:
Some are thought-provoking... and some things are simply amazingly-wonderful, like my brand new nephew Charlie who was born at home two weeks ago:
I've been teaching classes, too. And thinking about ways to raise awareness for women's birth choices here in Central Maine. I also redid my website, www.birthingyourbaby.com. If you have a few minutes and want to check it out and give me feedback, feel free!
Hope you've been having a wonderful summer!
